Japan Visa Without ITR 2316 – Letter of Explanation

This post is for those hesitant to apply for Japan Visa because they don’t have an ITR and feel they won’t get approved. I’d like to share this experience hoping to give you light and at least lessen your worries in getting the visa approved! 🙂

 

 

We recently applied for Japan Visa last October and my girlfriend does not have an ITR because she just got hired this year (ITR will be released next year). We wrote a letter to the Embassy stating why we can’t provide it.

I believe that this example can also be used by freelancers, housewives, students, or anybody who can’t provide the ITR. Below is the letter, feel free to edit it as per your details and reason. Good luck with your application! 🙂

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am personally requesting for a single entry visa for myself. I am (Your Name), bearer of Philippine Passport # (ABC12345), and resident of (Complete Address). I am currently employed as a (Job Title) at (Company) with office address at (Complete Company Address).

I am writing to your office to let you know that I am lacking the required Income Tax Return BIR Form 2316. I just got employed this year and my company cannot provide the ITR for 2016 because it will be released early 2017. Attached herewith is my Certificate of Employment as well as other required documents.

I will be flying to Japan on (Departure Date) and will stay until (Return Date) only together with my family/friends for sightseeing and touring. I guarantee that I will not become a public charge or burden during my stay in Japan and will strictly follow all rules.

I am hoping for your positive response. Thank you very much.

I tried April 2017, after having approved by a Korean visa on March, I applied for Japan visa as well using a letter of explanation (for not having an ITR nor work) on top of the other requirements but I was denied. Its a case to case basis I think because I have a close friend who has a stable job, big money on her bank account with Gold credit cards applied with her family but the she is the only person who was denied of a Japan Visa, her brother who is unemployed were lucky to have a visa granted..

  7. hi!! i’ll be in japan this coming November, i dont have the ITR but they issued me 2306 only, because im a contractual employee, i asked the agency to write an explanation letter, i used your explanation letter as my pattern 🙂 we are in group tour, i hope they will grant my visa too.

  8. Hi! pano po pag dalwa work ko? may stable job po ako as an HR and may sideline po ako as an on call event coordinator. May Certificate na po kasi ako ng both job.. do I need to pass DTI pa nung sa pagiging event coor ko? hassle kasi kung hihingi pako sa boss ko on call lang naman po ako. pero Malaki po sahod per duty ko 😀 TIA

      1. eh miss cinnamon, good day po. kakaopen ko lang ng accountlast October 19, 2017 which is my birthday. bale ngdeposit po ako ng 50k agad (yun po kasi ipon ko simula January) di ko kasi alam na kelangan may bank cert po sa visa eh nagiipon lang po ako sa bolt. tapos po by nov and dec may idedeposit pa ko paunti unti. by dec or January po ako kukuha ng visa. Feb po flight ko. okay lang po kaya yun? safe na po ba yun? TIA po.

  12. good day po! andito po ako ngayon sa qatar as a dh.. and plano ko po sana magpunta nextyear sa japan pag bakasyon ko po dito, pano po kaya yon? wala naman po ata ITR ang dh?.. at bago po ako umalis ng pinas, ndi po ako nakapag open ng bank account.. ok lang po ba un na pag uwi ko tsaka din po ako mag open account?.. then kuha narin po ng bank cert?.. sana matulungan nyo po ako pano gagawin, dream ko po kasi talaga makapunta ng japan.. thanks po.. 😊
